2009 Scottish Rally Championship EVENTS
The running order for 2009 will be:
Normal Seeding (by anticipated performance)
• Speyside • Merrick
2wd up to 1600cc plus 8 valve up to 2 litre in front of 4wd:
• Border Counties • Granite • Scottish
All 2wd in front of 4wd
• McRae
THE CLASSES
The Championship shall be split into 6 categories:
• Drivers of 1.6 Class Cars • Junior Drivers of 1.6 Class Cars Overall Junior Drivers • Drivers of 1.9 Class Cars • Co-drivers • Autumn Cup
1. The 1.6 Class shall be open to Registered Drivers who are competing in 1.6 Challenge Spec cars and who have not finished in the top 5 of a British National A or National B rally on 2 or more occasions in the past 10 years.
2. The Junior Driver shall be open to Registered Drivers who are competing in the 1.6 Class who were born on or after 1st January 1984. (25 years of age or under during 2009)
3. The 1.9 Class shall be open to Registered Drivers who are competing in approved 1.9 Challenge Spec cars
4. The Co-driver class shall be open to all registered Co-drivers when competing with a 1.6 Class or 1.9 Class Registered Driver.
5. The Autumn Cup shall be for 1.6 drivers and be contested over the last 4 events of the year.
6. Driver and Co-driver Eligibility.
• All registered drivers must hold minimum National B MSA Rally Licences and be a member of a MSA recognised Scottish motor club
• All registered co-drivers must hold minimum National B MSA Non Race Licences and be a member of a MSA recognised Scottish motor club
• All registered competitors must have paid the Championship Registration Fees.
REGISTRATION COSTS
1. The Registration Fee for each class shall be:
• Driver - £200 • Co-driver - £50
2. Autumn cup registration shall be £100 per driver.
3. Drivers can only register in one class
4. Drivers and Co-drivers must be registered by 31st August 2009 to score points in the Driver and Co-driver categories of the Championship. Points can only be scored from date of registration.

What Do I get Out Of It?
The primary goal of the Championship will be to provide a controlled and level playing field where the stars of the future can be nurtured and the stars of the present and past can have a play without breaking the bank.
In addition to competing in a very competitive class on 8 top quality rallies in Scotland,(ok one is just S of the Border) you will be entitled to take advantage of the following:

3. A Control Tyre Scheme that will enable you to use a top quality tyre at a reduced cost.
4. A Media Package where we will communicate with the motoring and national press on behalf of the Championship and its registered competitors.
5. A training and practice programme in association with Andrew Wood Motorsport. This will include the opportunity to have one to one in-car forest sessions with experienced drivers. Each competitor can have a package tailored to their own needs and budget.
6. Discount from Knockhill on your BARS course if you do not already have a competition licence.
7. Corporate Days when you will be able to entertain your sponsors and supporters and meet top motorsport personalities and potential sponsors.
And last but not least:
8. The services of a dedicated and experienced Championship Co-ordinator supported by some of the most experienced people in Scottish (and UK) motorsport.
9. A Championship website which will be used to promote the Championship and the people involved in it.
Awards
Trophies to winning driver and co-driver in 1.6 and 1.9 class on each qualifying round
Trophies to 1,2,3rd in each class at the year end
Cash prizes to 1,2,3rd Drivers in the classes at the year end (not Autumn Cup)
