There is massive news coming out of the north-east corner this week as Colin Smith and Craig Chapman unveil their rally plans for 2010. An assault on the IRC 2WD cup is on the cards for the Aberdeenshire youngsters, who stunned everyone with a mature drive in challenging conditions to take thirteenth overall and second IRC 2WD on the recent RACMSA Rally of Scotland.

Colin and Craig will tackle the series in a EuroRallye Andrew Wood Motorsport Honda Civic Type-R, having used a similar Honda on the Rally of Scotland to great success. Two Scottish Rally Championship rounds are planned to get the juniors up to speed in the new car, before they jet off to Italy to tackle the Rally d'Italia Sardegna and then the Ypres Rally in Belgium in June.

A return to Italy is then planned in September for Rallye Sanremo, before the season finishes on home soil with the Rally of Scotland. Colin and Craig hope the four events will allow them to tackle a range of different surfaces on some of the most famous events in European rallying.

Needless to say, we'll be supporting the former Brick and Steel 205 Ecosse Challenge stars all the way and will bring you all the news of their international adventures as it happens!
