Our family had never been to New Jersey before. We really had NO intention of going there at all. We were merely “passing through” with hopes of making it to Virginia and beyond. However, once we arrived in the southern parts of New Jersey near Wildwood and Cape May, we FELL IN LOVE.
We were only going to stay for 1 or 2 nights and move onward, but we loved it so much. Every day, the campground owners would smile and chuckle as we again, and again kept approaching them with more money for another night, and another night, and so on.
The weather was SOO PERFECT, super hot! 35degrees celcius at times… which is 95 ferenheit, and pure sunshine. The ocean was very warm and the kids never stopped playing on their brand new boogie boards. We also tried surfing for the 1st time in our lives and bought our own new board!
It was the last week of August, 2018 and truly was a phenomenal grand finale of our summer holiday with our kids.
At the very end, on our way back to Canada, we stopped at some strange campground near Rochester NY surrounded by farm fields in the middle of nowhere, set up camp, and went for an amazing day at SEABREEZE Amuzement Park located on the south side of Lake Ontario.
It was our last summer vacation with our kids all still being in the single digits.
